The Structure and Organisation of Messy Church in Australia
The Australian Messy Church Roundtable (AMCR) is a group of Messy Church
leaders from around Australia who meet once a year to support and grow
Messy Church Australia.
The Victorian Council of Christian
Education (VCCE) has signed an
MOU with BRF (Bible Reading
Fellowship, UK) in order to facilitate
the development of Messy Church
ministries in Australia.
There is a partnership agreement between AMCR and VCCE
The relationship between the AMCR and the VCCE will be
characterised by a shared commitment to…
– Being Kingdom-focused and Spirit-led
– Partnership, collaboration and mutual respect
– Generous conversation and respectful listening
– Resourcing of organic growth without over-structuring
– Operating in accord with the values and principles of Messy Church
– High accountability/low control, with an awareness of differing roles and responsibilities
AMCR commits to expressing partnership through
- Providing advice to the VCCE in relation to development of Messy Church in Australia
- Inclusion of a VCCE staff member at the AMCR gathering
- Providing a report of the annual AMCR gathering
- Providing a mid-year update on agreed outcomes from the AMCR gathering
- Committing to the agreed Working Principles
VCCE commits to expressing the partnership through
- Allocation of staff time to the development of Messy Church in Australia
- Listening to the advice provided by the AMCR
- Providing an annual report to the AMCR gathering
- Providing a mid-year update on VCCE activity in relation to Messy Church
